Film Music
My interest in film music began in 1957 when I saw The Seventh Voyage
of Sinbad for the first time at the Abbott Show in Lackawanna, New
York. I was five years old at the time and was completely swept away
by Ray Harryhausen’s animation and Bernard Hermann’s soundtrack.
Or let me put to you this way, when I was five years old I went to
a enchanted place where on a Saturday afternoon I was transported
to Sinbad’s ship and went with him to the Isle of Colossus to
clash with the Cyclops, Dragon and an immoral wizard to rescue a beautiful
princess and a genie. After this magnificent adventure I had to unfortunately
go back home to live the life of a kid, but not for long. More... |
